Description	:	Margaret F. Sorensen, 89, of St. Paul formerly of Greeley, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017, at Brookfield Park in St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 17, 2017, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Greeley. Father Antony Thekkekara will officiate. Sorensen, 89, of St. Paul formerly of Greeley, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017, at Brookfield Park in St. Paul. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. T.J. Finn and Sons of Greeley is in charge of arrangements. Margaret Frances was born January 1, 1928, in Greeley to Frank H. and Marie C. (Cannon) Harris. She was raised in Greeley and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. Margaret began working in the Greeley County Clerk’s office the day after her high school graduation. On May 20, 1950, she was united in marriage to Arvid A. Sorensen. To this union four children were born. The family made their home in Greeley. Once the children were in school, Margaret went to work at the Greeley Care Home. She returned to the Greeley County Clerk’s office as the deputy and was appointed the county clerk. Following her retirement she worked part-time in the Greeley County Agent’s office. The couple moved to St. Paul in 2012. Arvid passed away on April 21, 2016. Margaret continued to live in St. Paul until her passing. Margaret was a member of the Greeley Sacred Heart Church and served on the church council. She was member of the Greeley Care Home Board, Extension Council and was long time 4-H leader. She enjoyed quilting, embroidering, sewing and reading. Margaret and Arvid’s favorite pastimes were spending time with their family, especially during the holidays, and traveling together. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Janet of Omaha and Doug and Jaime of Lincoln; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jeanette and Joe Walsh of Lincoln and Barb Irvine of Ravenna; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Langer of Spalding and Dorothy Butcher of Bellevue. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arvid; a great-grandson, Christopher Walsh; two sisters, Betty Richie and Kathryn Leuschner; and a brother, John Harris.
