Read More	Margaret Frances Graham, daughter of James M. and Mary Jane Graham, was born July 15, 1872, in Champaign County, Illinois, and passed away on August 15, 1951, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lee Livingston, at Hastings, Nebr., at the age of 79 years, one month. When Maggie, as she known to everyone, was eleven years old she moved with her parents to a farm home near Hubbell, Nebr. After having finished her grade school work, she attended a teacher's college at Salina, Kans., and was one of the early day school teachers in Republic County, Kansas. In her early youth she joined the Presbyterian church (sic) at Hubbell and later transferred her membership to the Christian church (sic) at Chester, Nebr. On January 1, 1896, she was united in marriage to John Willis Davenport and to this union ten children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband on February 26, 1948, and two sons in their infancy. Mrs. Davenport was a kind and loving wife and mother, and a good neighbor. She loved to visit the shut-ins, and always brought cheer and courage to them by her loving understanding disposition. Although she had been seriously ill for several months she bore it all very patiently and always kept her trust in her Saviour. She leaves to mourn her loss two daughters: Mrs. Ruth Cossaart, Narka, Kans., Mrs. Mary Livingston, Hastings, Nebr.; and six sons: James of Los Angeles, Calif.; Homer of Kuna, Idao; Willis of Mahaska, Kans.; George of San Rafael, Calif.; Leslie of Patterson, New Jersey and Edgar of Richmond, Calif. She also leaves twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two brothers: Harry Graham of Hubbell, Nebr. and Lincoln Graham of Emporia, Kans., many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, August 19, at 2 o'clock from the Chester Christian Church with Rev. C.M. Foust officiating. Miss Mary Ann Sherwood accompanied the quartet, Mrs. Melvin Crouse, Mrs. Donald Eickman, Mrs. W.P. Thompson and Mrs. Edward Reed, who furnished the music. Pallbearers were Ray Graham, Jess Graham, Wayne Graham, Gwinn Graham, Alvin Gossaart and Wilbur Rishel. Interment was in the Chester cemetery (sic) with the Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral Home in charge.
