She then attended Pittsburg Teacher's College and graduated in normal training. On September 7, 1940, she was united in marriage to Paul Kenneth Huff at Bentonville,AR. She then attended Pittsburg Teacher's College and graduated in normal training. On September 7, 1940, she was united in marriage to Paul Kenneth Huff at Bentonville,AR. He preceded her in death on July 6,2014. Mrs.Huff was a homemaker and teacher. She taught for the Cherokee County Rural Schools and Baseline School in Crawford County. Membership was held in the Osage Chruch of the Brethern, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, Clerk and Deaconess. She was also a member of the Farm Bureau Extension Unit, former President of the YWCA and member of the Lady of the Lions, McCune. Mrs. Huff was also an excellent seamstress, gardencer and cook. She is survived by one son, James Huff and his wife, Colleen of rural McCune,KS; two daughters, Sharon Leonard and her husband,Amos of rural Girard,Ks and Carolyn S. Barr and her husband, Darrell of rural Girard,Ks; two brothers, Charles Bowin of Scammon,Ks and Donald Albert Bowin of Park Hill,Ok.;one sister, Beatrice Rippel of Weir,Ks; six grandchildren, James Leonard, Dr. C.J.Huff and wife, Jennifer, Ryan Huff and his wife, Teresa, Raymond Huff and his wife, Ashka, Margaret(Ann)Lee and her husband,Jason, Darrell(Wayne)Barr; twelve great-grandchildren, Cody Leonard, Camden Leonard, Nolan Leonard, Savannah Huff, Keaton Huff, Julianne Huff, Lauren Huff, Layton Huff, Maximus Huff, Kaja Huff, Adam Lee, and Kelsey Lee and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Ephner, Everett, Thomas and Reneford Bowin. A service for Mrs.Huff is set for 10:30 a.m. on Monday,December 22,2014 at the Osage Church of the Brethern, with Pastor Mike Huffaker officiating. Memorials to the Osage Church of the Brethern in care of Brenner Mortuary, 114 East 4th Street, Pittsburg,Ks 66762.
