Read More	BARNTHOUSE, Margaret J."Peg" Passed away on August 31, 2012 at age 89. She was born on December 3, 1922 in Hamilton. At the time of her birth her parents Charles and Helen Williamson were living on the Williamson pioneer farm near Collinsville. At an early age, the family moved to Oxford where she was educated in the Oxford public schools, graduating from Stewart High School in 1940. Peg attended Miami University for two years, then entered the Christ Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1945. On July 8, 1944 she was united in marriage to PFC James O. Barnthouse in Long Beach, California. Peg worked as a registered nurse at both Fort Hamilton and Mercy hospitals until her children arrived. In 1960 she returned to Miami University, graduating in 1964 with a bachelor's degree in education. She taught kindergarten and first Grade in the Hamilton school system until her retirement in 1983. During her retirement she was a member of the Currents Events Club and the Metropolitan Women's Club. She was an active member of The Presbyterian Church, participating in the Hanna Circle, Presby Generation and Early Childhood Committee. She loved to play bridge and was a member of the West Park Bridge Club for over 60 years. Peg was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, Harry S. Williamson and her grandson, Jeffrey Barnthouse. Peg is survived by her sister, Mary, her sons, Larry (Raven Parris), Jim (Peggy), and Chris (Lisa). She is also survived by grandchildren, James, Jr., Allison, Kyle, Jessica, Carrie, Andy and Matt, and by five great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M at the funeral home on, Friday, September 7, 2012 with Dr. John H. H. Lewis officiating. The service will be followed by entombment in Rose Hill Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Colonial Foundation for Berkeley Square Life Care Fund, 520 Eaton Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
