Mrs. Wade died Monday evening in St. John's Hospital in Huron. She had been in ill health for four years, and had been hospitalized for several weeks before her death. She was born April 3, 1893, near Clarion, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Yost. When she was six years old, her parents came to Hand County, and this remained her home until her death. She was married to Will Wade March 17, 1913, and for a time they lived on a farm north of Miller, later moving to the old Wade farm in Pleasant Valley township. Mr. Wade passed away in May 1958 , and she continued to make her home on the farm. Active in many women's organizations as long as her health permitted, Mrs. Wade was a member of Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church, and served as superintendent of the Sunday school until illness forced her retirement. She was also a member of the Ladies Union club. Surviving her death are two sons, Wayne, of Great Falls, Mont., and Leland of Seattle; one sister, Mrs. G.W. Johnson, and a brother, Willard Yost, both of Miller. There are also two grandchildren.
