Death was caused by complications incident to old age, and Mrs. Jones had been bedfast three weeks. Death was caused by complications incident to old age, and Mrs. Jones had been bedfast three weeks. Margaret Jane McGinty was born at Cascade, Iowa, September 23, 1861, and grew to young womanhood in that vicinity. She was married there in 1879 to Thomas W. Roark, and they came to Woodbury Co., Iowa, three years later, settling in Lucky Valley. Four sons, John, Ed, William and Joe, were born to them and all survive except Joe. On May 24, 1891, the deceased was married to Frank Jones and this union was blessed with four daughters, Mae Fey of Correctionville, Libby Herbold of Kingsley, Grace Fey of Anthon and Bernice Michaelsen of Smithland, and a son, Walter Jones of Lawton. Besides the eight children, she is survived by three brothers, Will McGinty of Chancellor, South Dakota, Samuel of Sioux City, and Frank of Sioux Falls, a sister, Mrs. Libby Pietzuch of Los Angeles, California, 28 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Four of her grandsons are serving oversease in the armed forces.
