Coon Rapids Enterprise - Thu, Apr 26, 1979 - Margaret Kathleen, daughter of Thomas and Mary Kinney Halligan, was born Dec 16, 1880 in Scranton, IA. She moved to Bayard at the age of 12 where she attended the Bayard schools and graduated from the High School in 1898. She united in marriage with Thomas E Moylan of Coon Rapids Feb 11, 1903 at St Patricks church in Bayard. They farmed in the Bayard and Coon Rapids communities unti8l retiring in Bayard in 1931. Her husband passed away in 1953 and Margaret continued to make her home in Bayard until moving to the Thomas Rest Haven in Coon Rapids about 4 years ago. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and by one sister Mrs Anna Kennedy. She leaves to mourn her passing three sons and their wives: Floyd L Moylan of Scranton; Lloyd L Moylan of Bagley; and Merle F Moylan of Bayard. Also one grandson, 6 grand daughters, 21 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. - Mass of the Christian Burial was held Monday April 23, 1979 from St Patrick's Church in Bayard for Margaret Moylan, 98. Mrs Moylan, who had lived in the Bayard area for the greater part of her life, died Saturday April 21 at The Thomas Rest Haven in Coon Rapids where she had been a resident for about 4 years. Interment was in Willow Township cemetery near Bayard.
