Description	:	Margaret "Peggy" Louise Heald, 85, of Auxvasse, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Margaret was born on September 6, 1932, in Bonaparte, Iowa, to Dorothy and George Simmons. She was the fourth of five sisters. Read More	Margaret "Peggy" Louise Heald, 85, of Auxvasse, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Margaret was born on September 6, 1932, in Bonaparte, Iowa, to Dorothy and George Simmons. She was the fourth of five sisters. She married her husband of 64 years, Glenn Heald, on December 12, 1953, at the Bonaparte Presbyterian Church. In December 1957, Margaret earned a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics Journalism from Iowa State College in Ames. In 1958, she and Glenn moved to Lisle, Illinois, where they began raising their family. In 1967, the family of five moved to Dubuque, Iowa. During their years in Dubuque, Margaret attended Clarke College and earned a Master of Arts in Elementary Education in 1977. She taught in the Dubuque Community School District at Irving and Table Mound elementary schools for 10 years. In 1987, Margaret and Glenn purchased a farm in central Missouri, built a home, and began raising Angus cattle. Margaret continued working as a substitute teacher in Callaway County schools for many years. Wherever she lived, Margaret was always an active part of the churches the family attended, serving in a multitude of ways, including as a Clerk of Session, as a Stephen Minister, and, of course, as a teacher. She was an outstanding cook, exceptional seam-stress/knitter/quilter, avid reader, and tireless volunteer. Margaret is survived by her husband, Glenn of Auxvasse, Missouri; sister, Frances (Al) Jolliffe of Waukee, Iowa; daughters, Laura (Patrick) Schwartz of New Vienna, Iowa, Jennifer (Michael) Gaumnitz of Lenexa, Kansas, and Annette (John) Walter of Auxvasse, Missouri; 5 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Todd Heald; her sisters, Myrna Jean Kreiger, Mary Ellen Kaness, and Elizabeth Calvert; and her parents. "Well done, good and faithful servant enter thou into the joy of thy master." (Matthew 25:23) A private graveside memorial service was held in Bonaparte, Iowa on July 21, 2018. It was held in combination with a memorial service for her dear sister Elizabeth Calvert, who preceded her in death by only a few weeks.
