Description	:	Funeral Rites for Mrs. Margaret Schneider on Saturday Morning Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Schneider, who passed away the previous Wednesday, were held on Saturday morning from the St. Ludger's Catholic church. Father Windolph was celebrant of requiem mass and delivered an impressive sermon. A great many friends paid a final tribute to the departed woman. The front of the sanctuary at the church was profuse with beautiful flowers. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery. Margaret Eiler, who was the last of a family of five children, was born in Germany on July 24, 1851 and died at her home in Creighton, Nebraska on November 15, 1939 at the age of 88 years, 3 months and 21 days. She came to the United States with her parents at the age of nine years. On January 2, 1872 at Henry, Ill, she was united in marriage to Frank Schneider. Nine children were born to this union, four dying in infancy and a son, A.P. Schneider on October 30, 1937. Mrs. Schneider, with her husband came to Knox county in 1872 and located on a homestead four miles northwest of Creighton in 1874. At that time, Wisner and Yankton, S.D. were the nearest trading points of any size. For 22 years, Mr. and Mrs. Schneider made their home on this farm and went through about all the hardships and drawbacks incident to those times. In 1894 they moved to Creighton, where she since continuously resided. Mr. Schneider preceded her in death on September 28, 1912. As the result of a paralytic stroke, Mrs. Schneider had been in ill health for a number of years, but through all her sufferings, was patient and cheerful. She was known for her kindly and neighborly disposition and was a good mother and a faithful Christian. Relatives, who mourn her departure are one son, J.N. Schneider and three daughters, Mrs. J.P.
