Services were held at Community United Methodist Church in Sergeant Bluff with Dr. Paul Samuelson officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery, Anthon, under direction of Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel. Margaret was born August 18, 1925, near Anthon, the daughter of George W. and Mary L. McDermott Parker. She was raised in the Anthon area and attended country school. Following her marriage to Charles Rickabaugh, the couple moved to several towns and farmed for a few years. They then moved into Sergeant Bluff in 1950, where Margaret had been a resident since. She was a housewife and a volunteer for the Senior Center with the Sergeant Bluff Congregate Meals program. She was a member of Sergeant Bluff Community United Methodist Church. Margaret loved to have her family and friends around her. Survivors include three daughters, Sandy and her husband Doug Swanger of Sergeant Bluff, Peggy and her husband John Mulligan of Denison, Iowa, and Shelli and her husband Keith Beebe of Salix, Iowa; seven grandchildren; a great grandchild; two great -stepgrandchildren; and a brother, George R. Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, Arlo Jorgensen, and a sister, Peggy Parker, and a son-in-law.
