| Description | : | Margaret McLaren, daughter of "Little" Peter McLaren and Mary MacDonald, was born April 15, 1848 in Lanark Township, Ontario, Canada. On June 16, 1868 she married her second cousin David McLaren. David was a lumber man, working for his cousin Senator Peter McLaren. When the timber industry began to slow he became a farmer and they moved to Drummond Township where they raised four boys and five girls.
