Rev. Robert F. Luinstra officiated. Mrs. Plueger, wife of William A. Plueger, died in the Senior Home late Tuesday afternoon, July 8. She was born in Wayne township Sept. 9, 1889, the daughter of Frederick and Margaretha Dirks Doden and received her early education in the rural schools of Jones county. On Feb. 18, 1914, she married William A. Plueger in St. John Lutheran church and the couple farmed near Scotch Grove until 1944 when they moved to Monticello. The past two and a half years the couple have been residents of the Senior Home. The couple celebrated their 6lst wedding anniversary earlier this year. Mrs. Plueger was a member of St. John Lutheran church. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Ervin and Luverne Plueger, both of Scotch Grove; three daughters, Mrs. Carl (Esther) Siebels, Monticello; Mrs. Alvin (Bertha) Harms, and Mrs. Earl (Eloise) Null, both of Scotch Grove; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving her are a brother, John Doden, two sisters, Mrs. Tobias (Elise) Hinrichs and Mrs. Hanna Brockens, all of Monticello. She was preceded in death by a son, Raymond in 1972, a sister and three brothers. Casket bearers were Marvin Doden, Norman Hinrichs, Vernon Doden, Herbert Plueger, Raymond Buol and Louis Zumbach.
