Larson, of typhoid fever, aged 77 years and 11 months. She was born in Sweden. Her maiden name was Johnson. In 1839 she was married to Lars Larson. In 1850 with her husband and children they left their native land and came to America, settling near Ottumwa, Iowa, where they resided until 1867 when they came to Cherokee county, Kansas. Price, Jan. 16th, 1892, Mrs. Margaretta A. Larson, of typhoid fever, aged 77 years and 11 months. She was born in Sweden. Her maiden name was Johnson. In 1839 she was married to Lars Larson. In 1850 with her husband and children they left their native land and came to America, settling near Ottumwa, Iowa, where they resided until 1867 when they came to Cherokee county, Kansas. They moved to Cherokee in 1872, where she has since resided. Her husband died three years ago, since which time she has been patiently waiting for the summons to depart and be with Christ. Hers was a beautiful life; full of sunshine, and although frail in body and a constant sufferer, yet there was no complaint, and she always had a word of cheer for others. Her quiet, retiring, meek and loving ways made her a host of true friends who were ready to minister to her wants. She counted it a gain to depart and be with Christ, rather than suffer affliction here. Her last sickness was a benediction to her friends who sat beside her bedside day after day and there learned a lesson of resignation. To them it appeared that she regarded death as the implement which was to set her spirit free.
