Olive Nursing Home in Wayne Co., North Carolina. Born February 23, 1921, daughter of John Kora Lindsey and Elsie Charlotte King, she grew up in Humboldt, Allen Co., Kansas and taught school in the area. During WWII she worked for the war department. On December 5, 1943 she married Norman Lawrence Martindale. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1996. Born February 23, 1921, daughter of John Kora Lindsey and Elsie Charlotte King, she grew up in Humboldt, Allen Co., Kansas and taught school in the area. During WWII she worked for the war department. On December 5, 1943 she married Norman Lawrence Martindale. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1996. Survivors include: two sons, John and Larry; two daughters, Terri Martindale and Rae Ann Stuckey; nieces and nephews, and one sister, Rose Siegrest, Greenwood, MO. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Betty Pilcher, formerly of Humboldt, and Jeannette; one brother Glen Lindsey. Services were April 12 in Wayne Co. at the Providence Methodist Church. Cremation is planned and burial will take place at a later date in Humboldt.
