Maish, Following Long Illness. Mrs. Margaret Maish, a pioneer settler of this county passed away Saturday morning at the home of her son, Albert Maish of Oneonta, death following an illness of several years. She was the widow of the late Samuel Maish who passed away in Concordia a few years ago. Mrs. Maish was born in Clearfield county, Pa., January 24, 1853. She came to Kansas with her parents in 1865 and for a few years they lived in Johnson county. She moved to Jewell county in 1872 and two years later was united in marriage in that county to Samuel Maish. About 20 years ago they moved to Concordia and lived on East Seventh street until Mr. Maish's death, and since that time she has made her home with her son. She is survived by two sons and two daughters, the sons being Albert Maish of Oneonta, and S.E. Maish of Los Angeles and the daughters are Mrs. Lon McCoy of Parrier, Okla., and Mrs. Harry Scheib, of Santa Ana, California. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the Albert Maish home, conducted by Rev. H. Planck of Union, Nebraska. Interment will be made in the Fairview cemetery.
