Description	:	From the Fullerton Post, dated February 16th, 1911, with minor editing - Marie C. Larsen died Feb. 7, 1911 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O. J. (Rose) Nelsen, at Newman Grove. Funeral was by team from Newman Grove to the Danish Lutheran church in Council Creek township, Nance county, and she was buried in Sunnyside cemetery, where her husband is buried. The Rev. Mr. Hendrickson, of Newman Grove, preached in both languages. Mrs. Larsen's maiden name was Maria Chathrina Christensen Grave. She was born in Denmark May 18, 1842; there she was married to Christian Larsen in 1866. She came to this country in 1868 and settled on a farm on Washington Island, Door county, Wisconsin; moved to Nance county, Nebraska, in 1884, buying a farm in Council Creek township, which she still owned at the time of her death. For the past two years of her life she had been living with her children. Her husband died in April 1902 at the age of 61 years. Ten children were born to this union. Two of the children died while young and eight are living and all are married, of whom there are Mrs. K. C. (Marie) Knudson and Louis Larsen of Fullerton; Christian W. Larsen of Primrose; Mrs. O. J. (Rose) Nelson and Mrs. F. C. (Ida) Harris of Newman Grove; John W. Larsen, Alfred J. Larsen, and Carl A. Larsen, of Wolbach. Mrs. Larsen joined the church while young and was a faithful Christian throughout her life.
