Description	:	Maria was the daughter of William Egloff, a native of Germany and a veteran of the Civil War, and Margaret Calvert. She was born in 1866 on a farm north of Sidney, Iowa, one of ten children. Maria married Hiram Septka, son of Frederick Septka and 2nd wife Mary Augusta Rotgut, in 1891. Maria died a year after her marriage at the age of 25 years 7 months 2 days. Hiram married Stella Boyer in 1893 and had several children. After the death of Stella, he married Nettie Foote (Castle).
