Pg. 8 Col 2 Obituary of Mary Titus Mary Knoll was born at Niles Center, ILL., Sept 11, 1882 and died at her home in Coon Rapids, Sept 21, 1911, having reached the age of 29 years and 10 days. Grown up to womanhood at the parental place some miles north east of Coon Rapids. She united in marriage with Charles Titus June 15, 1903. To them were born 6 children, of whom 5 are living, 3 boys and 2 girls, the youngest child being 20 months old. For the first year after their marriage the couple resided a few miles from Webster City. From there they moved onto a farm north of Coon Rapids, where they both worked hard until the last year when Mrs. Titus' illness caused her husband to move to town and quit farming. Here she was the object of tender love and care of her many friends and relatives until the hour of her death. Mrs. Titus was a most devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister and a faithful member of the Lutheran Church. The funeral service was held in the Christian Church of Coon Rapids and the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery of Willow Township, Greene Co., Iowa. She is survived by her sorrowing husband, 5 children, her parents, 1 brother and 3 sisters.
