Read More	Minnie was the daughter of Henry (1822 Ger) and Mary Hacker. She married William Knoll on Oct 24, 1879 in Niles, Cook Co, IL. COON RAPIDS ENTERPRISE - Friday, December 13th, 1935 - Mrs. Minnie Knoll, a resident of Willow township for more than half a century, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Burt Williams, at Cooper Saturday evening, Dec 7, following a stroke which she suffered the previous Wednesday. On November 17 she went to Cooper to visit in the home of her daughter and a few days later became quit ill. She apparently recovered, however, and for a couple of days was up and around only to suffer the fatal stroke and became weaker and weaker until she finally slept away in spite of all that loving hands could do. Mrs. Minnie Knoll, nee Hacker, was born Dec. 15, 1858, at Gewin, Mecklenberg - Schwerin, Saxony, Germany. Here she was baptized. When she was five years old she came to the United States with her parents who located in Cook county, Illinois. At the age of 15 she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Niles, IL. On October 31, 1879 she married William Knoll in Illinois where they lived for three years, coming from there to Greene county, Iowa some 53 years ago. To this union was born three sons and five daughters. Four children and her husband preceded her in death, the latter on Oct. 17, 1930. She leaves to mourn her death one son and three daughters; Wm Knoll Jr. and Mrs. Mat Honold of Coon Rapids, Mrs. Clarence Williams of Jefferson, and Mrs. Burt Williams of Cooper. Also twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one sister at Park Ridge, IL., and one brother at Des Planes, IL., besides other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Mat Honold, and 2:30 at Trini y Evangelical Lutheran church in Willow township. Rev. W.H. Friedrich, the pastor based words of comfort on First John: 1. 17. A group of young people sang the hymn "What a Friend We Have in Jesus." Burial was in Willow cemetery. Carroll Daily Herald - Tuesday, December 10, 1935 - Coon Rapids - Mrs. William Knoll, Sr. 75, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Williams at Cooper, Saturday night following a prolonged illness. The funeral was held at the German Lutheran church Monday afternoon, the Rev. W.H. Freidreich officiating. Interment was in the Willow township cemetery.
