Description	:	A funeral mass for Mrs. Will (Mary) Husak, 89, rural Toledo was held Friday at 10 a.m. from St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Tama. The Rev. Ernest Engler, pastor, was the celebrant. A wake service was held from the Chapel of the Funeral Home, Thursday evening led by Father John W. Stark, former pastor of St. Patrick’s. Burial was in Holy Trinity Cemetery, rural Toledo, with the following as pallbearers: Gerald Husak, Thomas Husak, Dennis Husak, Laurence Husak, Robert Husak, and Michael Husak. Mrs. Husak died Wednesday, May 1, 1985 at 4:40 a.m. in the Marshalltown Community Hospital where she had been a patient since April 2. She had been in failing health for several years and her death was attributed to complications of age. Born July 28, 1885 in York Township, Tama County, she was a daughter of Anton and Julia Zamastil Zmolek. She received her education in rural schools of Tama County and attended Leander Clark College, Toledo. January 14, 1918 she was married to William Husak of Clutier in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, rural Vining. They farmed in the Toledo area for 63 years on the same farm. Mr. Husak died July 5, 1980. She was a resident of Sunny Hill Care Center until entering the hospital. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth Circle and the Rosary Society. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Adolph, a grandson, her parents, seven brothers and sisters. Surviving are six sons, Charles W., Paul J., John V., and State Senator Emil J. Husak all of Toledo, William of Grinnell and Peter of Iowa City; two daughters, Sister Mary Philomena of Cedar Rapids with the Sisters of Mercy Sacred Heart Convent, and Mrs. Joseph (Julia) Benda of Elberon; one sister, Sister Philomena of Omaha with the Notre Dame Sisters, a brother, Anton Zmolek, rural Toledo, 23 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
