Nuernberger, 90, of Greeley, NE passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Boone County Health Center in Albion, NE. Marialice Mae Nuernberger, the daughter of Russell Henry Frederick and Alice Martha (Suhl) Peetz, was born on October 7, 1928 at Elkhorn, NE. She attended the Fairdale School in Greeley County and graduated from North High School in Omaha, NE. Marialice was united in marriage to Edwin L. Kolar on December 7, 1946, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach, NE. Following their marriage, the couple lived and farmed southwest of Wolbach. Edwin passed away on July 4, 1966. On September 14, 1969, Marialice married Glenn Eldon Nuernberger at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids, NE. Marialice worked alongside her husbands helping them farm, milk cows, as well as working at People’s State Bank in Wolbach and with Dorothy Lynch at the St. Paul Legion Club. Marialice was a member of the Lutheran Women Missionary League, American Legion Auxillary, and an alter committee member. She enjoyed spending time with grandchildren, gardening, sewing, crocheting, and playing Klondike and Solitare. Marialice is survived by three sons: Edwin Kolar Jr. of Wolbach, NE; Roger (Connie) Kolar of Lincoln, NE; Bruce (Karna) Kolar of Cedar Rapids, NE; one daughter: Karen (Ron) Palik of York, NE; seven grandchildren: Jim Kolar, Larry Kolar, Ben Kolar, Kristin Huebert, Travis Kolar, Marc Kolar, Karleen Kolar; eight great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Edwin and Glenn; brothers: Arlen Peetz and Kenneth Peetz; sisters: Sharon Allard, Eilene Pogue, and Connie Peetz and Phyllis Peetz both in infancy; two nephews: Timothy Peetz and David Peetz.
