Marian M. Keech DeNaeyer, 80, died surrounded by family on March 25, 2012, after a short yet courageous battle with myelodysplastic syndrome. Marian was born June 20, 1931, in Valentine, NE, to Charles Glenn and Clara Adeline Kaplan Keech. She was the fourth child of seven and learned to work hard as a young girl. She graduated from Valentine Rural High School in the spring of 1949, and was married to Dr. Leonard L. (Buzz) DeNaeyer on November 27, 1949; they were later divorced. She loved to tend her yard as well as the numerous flowers she planted - a passion she passed on to her daughter, Dianne. She always remembered her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with $2 bills for their birthdays and special occasions. She worked at Colburn Tire as a secretary/bookkeeper for over 20 years until her retirement. Marian was preceded in death by her mother and father, sister, Kathryn Keech Grow, brothers, Edward Keech, Conrad Keech, and Dean Keech. She is survived by her daughters, Dianne DeNaeyer Hamling (Steve), Valentine, NE; Cindy DeNaeyer Zollinger (Lynn), Wellsville, UT. Her grandchildren: Tara DeNaeyer Hull (Jimmy), Durant, OK; Avery Stewart (Tristin), Smithfield, UT; Kelly Schirado (David), Smithfield, UT; Shawna Dean (Ernie), Millville, UT; Taurean Stewart (Jenn), Richmond, UT; Adrian Stewart (Kellie) Wellsville, UT; and Cadet Tory Zollinger, United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. Her great-grandchildren: Bailey Hull, Kamree Stewart, Myles Stewart, Weston Schirado, Hunter Schirado, Taylor Schirado, Morgan Schirado, Denaeyer Dean, Sierra Dean, and baby Dean; Bentley Stewart, Jaidyn Stewart, and Mahal Stewart.
