She was born April 5, 1912, near Freeburg, a daughter of Dr. Joseph L.A. and Conradina M. (Ruettgers) Buechler. Mrs. Dickneite was united in marriage on June 29, 1940, at Freeburg to Alex John Dickneite, and to this union three children were born. Read More	Wife of Alexander John Dickneite DICKNEITE Marie Anne Dickneite, age 97, of Freeburg, died Friday, May 22, 2009, in the Westphalia Retirement Center, Westphalia. She was born April 5, 1912, near Freeburg, a daughter of Dr. Joseph L.A. and Conradina M. (Ruettgers) Buechler. Mrs. Dickneite was united in marriage on June 29, 1940, at Freeburg to Alex John Dickneite, and to this union three children were born. In her early years she assisted her mother in the Freeburg Post Office. Marie and Alex Sr. owned and operated the IGA Grocery Store in Freeburg for 34 years. She loved crappie fishing, embroidery work, appliqué and hand beading Christmas tree skirts. She lived 96 of her 97 years in Freeburg in a two block radius. Mrs. Dickneite was a devoted housewife and homemaker, always diligent in providing for the needs of her dear family. Mrs. Dickneite was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg. Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Dickneite include: one son and daughter-in-law, Alex J. and Ida Dickneite Jr., Freeburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Therese and John Roberson, Vienna; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband on February 6, 1986; one daughter, Mary Bisges, on April 12, 1993; her father on April 21, 1951; her mother on February 17, 1969; one brother, Alois Buechler; one half-brother, Alphonse Buechler; and one sister, Rita Przyblyski. A Rosary and Prayer Services will be held for Mrs. Dickneite at 7 p.m., Sunday, May 24, 2009, followed by a Eulogy service, in the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg with Rev. Phil Neikamp leading. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Dickneite at 10 a.m., Monday, May 25, 2009, in the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg with Rev. Phil Neikamp, pastor, and Rev. Joe Welschmeyer, St. James Catholic Church, Potosi, concelebrating the Mass. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery, Freeburg, under the direction of the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Pallbearers for Mrs. Dickneite are Tim Bisges, Jeff Bisges, Andre' Dickneite, Chris Dickneite, Gerard Dickneite, Alan Dickneite and Kenneth Roberson. Masses or memorial contributions are suggested to the Holy Family Church and School with envelopes available at the Vienna office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. All arrangements are under the direction of the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
