Collins, 88, who died Wednesday at Hand County Memorial Hospital will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. James Smucker and the Rev. David Belzer officiating. Interment will be in the GAR Cemetery. Marie Burrell was born July 12, 1886 at Ree Heights to Thomas and Margaret Burrell. From 1889-96 she lived with her parents in Madison where she attended grade school. They moved to Sherburn, Minn. where she attended high school and later to Zion City, Ill. She moved with her family to Waukegan, Ill. where she worked for a printing company as a proofreader and later for the telephone company. In 1906 she moved to Miller and worked for the telephone company. On Dec. 3, 1906 she married B. Harrison Collins at Huron. They lived on a farm until his death in 1939 and she then bought the Pantry Lunch Cafe in Miller which she operated for many years. She entered Prairie Center Home, December 1971. Mrs. Collins was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, Business and Professional Women's Club and Justa Club. Survivors include one son, Verne, Miller; one daughter, Mrs. Howard (Vera) Kenner, Rapid City; three grandchildren, 12 great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers and one sister. Pallbearers will be Loren Kenner, Robert Kenner, Clyde Collins, Burrell Collins, Bruce Burrell and Ronald Blachford.
