Description	:	Marie Elizabeth Johnson, 84, of North Loup died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at her daughter's home in North Loup. Marie was born Sept. 17, 1926, on the family farm near Greeley to Frank and Rose (Berney) Judge. Survivors are: husband, Bill of North Loup; daughters, Margie Clements and her partner, Larry Cadek, of North Loup and Rose Marie Fisher of California; son and daughter-in-law, William and Susan Johnson of California; five grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Carol Judge of Arizona and a host of friends and relatives. Marie was raised on the farm and graduated from Greeley High School... Read More	Marie Elizabeth Johnson, 84, of North Loup died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at her daughter's home in North Loup. Marie was born Sept. 17, 1926, on the family farm near Greeley to Frank and Rose (Berney) Judge. Survivors are: husband, Bill of North Loup; daughters, Margie Clements and her partner, Larry Cadek, of North Loup and Rose Marie Fisher of California; son and daughter-in-law, William and Susan Johnson of California; five grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Carol Judge of Arizona and a host of friends and relatives. Marie was raised on the farm and graduated from Greeley High School in 1942. Marie taught rural school in Greeley County for several years. On March 25, 1944, she was united in marriage to Bill Johnson at Burwell. The couple made their first home in the Sandhills of Greeley County. In the early 1950's they moved to Lincoln, where Marie worked for four years at Elgin Watch Company. The family moved to California and Marie was employed in electronics at Airesearch until her retirement. Following their retirement in the early 1980's, the couple moved to Wyoming where they resided for 10 years. Bill and Marie were raising their granddaughter, Teresa Johnson when they moved to North Loup for her to attend school. Marie continued to make her home in North Loup until her passing. Marie was a member of the Catholic Faith. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, especially frying chicken and baking cinnamon rolls. While living in Wyoming she spent a lot of time fishing. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frank, Jimmy, Mike and Barney Judge and sisters, Kate Griffith and Patricia McCarthy. Published in The Grand Island Independent on 11/12/2010
