Mrs. Meyer was born June 10, 1869, in Germany. Her husband, Rev. Theodore Meyer, was pastor of the St. John congregation from 1892 to 1939, when he retired. They made their home near LeMars and he died in 1941. Surviving are five sons, Rev. John T. Meyer of La Moille, Ill., Rev. Paul T. Meyer of Grimes, Ia., Karl C. of Royal, Ill., Henry T. of near LeMars and William T. of Alamosa, Colo.; two daughters, Martha at home and Mrs. Louise Kruse of LeMars; a brother, Carl of Creston, Ia., another brother and a sister, residing in Germany, and 10 grandchildren.
