Description	:	Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 22, from Thompson-Larson Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Marie Sorensen, 91, longtime resident of Kenmare, who passed away Thursday at the Trinity Lutheran Home at Minot, where she had been a resident for several months. Rev. Donald F. Burton officiated at the service. Mrs. Marvin Gravesen was pianist and Mrs. Donald Burton, vocalist. Pallbearers were Homer Thompson, John Marshall, LeRoy Bowman, Roger Johnson and Dr. Keith Folkert. Marie Laursen was born March 22, 1889 in Denmark and came to the United States with her family at the age of seventeen, settling in the Kenmare area, where they farmed. Marie Laursen was born March 22, 1889 in Denmark and came to the United States with her family at the age of seventeen, settling in the Kenmare area, where they farmed. She married Viggo Sorensen on Nov. 20, 1908, at Norma. They made their home in Kenmare, where Mr. Sorensen operated a retail man's clothing store. He died in 1965. She continued to make her home in Kenmare until moving to the Trinity Home. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Edgar (Eline) Bowman of Minot, Mrs. Nels U. (Alice) Nelson and Mrs. Edith McConnell of Kenmare, Mrs. Harry (Gladys) Mace of Merritt Island, FIa., Mrs. Evelyn Ringen of Pullman, Wn.; a sister, Olga Madsen of San Diego, Calif., nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grand children and one great-great-grandchild. Interment was made at Lakeview Cemetery. From the Kenmare News.
