Description	:	Evelyn A. Ringen, 70, Kenmare, died Thursday in a Mohall nursing center. A memorial service will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Kenmare. Cremation has taken place. She was born April 24, 1920, in Kenmare, to Viggo and Marie Sorensen. She graduated from Kenmare High School and received her teacher’s certificate from Minot State University. She taught in Williston for a time and then married Leif Ringen in Kenmare Aug. 2, 1945. She was born April 24, 1920, in Kenmare, to Viggo and Marie Sorensen. She graduated from Kenmare High School and received her teacher’s certificate from Minot State University. She taught in Williston for a time and then married Leif Ringen in Kenmare Aug. 2, 1945. They lived in Fargo while he was attending North Dakota State University, and they moved to Pullman, Wash., in 1948 where he was a professor at Washington State University. She worked in the bookstore there for many years. He died March 27, 1979, and she remained in Pullman until moving back to Kenmare in 1982. She entered North Central Good Samaritan Center in Mohall the following year. Survivors: sisters, Gladys Mace, Merritt Island, Fla., Eline Bowman, Minot, Edith McConnell, Kenmare.
