Burial was at Lakeview Cemetery at Kenmare. The former Alice Sorensen was born on February 13, 1911, at Kenmare, a daughter of the late Viggo and Marie Sorensen. She was reared and educated there. Burial was at Lakeview Cemetery at Kenmare. The former Alice Sorensen was born on February 13, 1911, at Kenmare, a daughter of the late Viggo and Marie Sorensen. She was reared and educated there. In 1930, she married Roy Foster, and they farmed near Spicer, Minn., until his death in 1936. She then returned to live with her daughter in Kenmare, where she operated and A & B Dress Shop and was also employed by the Kenmare Dry Cleaners. On September 2, 1946, she married Nels U. Nelson, a long-term rural mail carrier at Kenmare, there. They made their home at Kenmare. He retired in 1963, and they continued to live in Kenmare until moving to the Trinity Homes in Minot in 1982. She was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church of Kenmare and the American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving is her husband; daughter Miss Carol Foster of Oakland, Calif., and two step daughters, Mrs. Marion Johnson and Mrs. Jeanette Marshall both of Minot. There are 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs Edith McConnell and Mrs. Evelyn Ringen of Kenmare, Mrs. Eline Bowman of Minot and Mrs. Gladys Mace of Merritt Island Florida.
