She left at once and arrived before his death, which occurred Tuesday afternoon. Funeral will be Tuesday afternoon. The remains will be brought to Scranton for burial. Mr. Calder was born and reared in the Scranton vicinity. He leaves two sons and a daughter to mourn his passing. Jefferson Herald - Thursday, May 4, 1933 - Marion F. Calder was born April 24, 1875, in Clinton county, Iowa, and passed away at his home south of Truro, Iowa, April 18, 1933, being 57 years, 11 months and 25 days old. He had been in poor health for several years, suffering from inflammation of the nerves and a complication of diseases. When a small boy Mr. Calder moved with his parents to Greene county, Iowa, where he lived until eighteen years ago. Then he moved to LeRoy, Iowa, and located on a farm. He lived there three years, then located on a farm near Truro, Iowa, where he has lived the last fifteen years. On Thanksgiving day in 1897 he was united in marriage to Margaret Benedict near Coon Rapids, Iowa. To this union three children were born: Clyde Calder of Wisner, Nebraska; Claude Calder of Truro, Iowa, and Miss Opal Calder of Scranton, Iowa. Their mother passed away March 10, 1920. In 1924 he was united in marriage with Mrs. Rose Parrott. Besides the three children and his widow. Mr. Calder leaves two sisters, Mrs. William Gordon and Mrs. Ken Mozona, of Wichita, Iowa; also four brothers: William Calder, of Churdan; George Calder of Scranton, John Calder of Scranton and Joe Calder of Coon Rapids. Other relative and many friends in this vicinity as well as at Truro join in mourning his passing.
