Read More	Marj Kirby, 88 of Sioux Falls, died Monday, March 6, 2017 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Marjorie Lyng Kirby was born November 22, 1928 to Fred and Olga Lyng in Sioux Falls SD. Marj grew up in Baltic, Dell Rapids, and Sioux Falls. On June 2, 1951 Marj married Tom Kirby Jr. in Sioux Falls. Marj and Tom's adventurous life was blessed by 5 children. Marj was an avid Christian, golfer, seamstress, Mahjong, and Spite and Malice player. Marj and Tom enjoyed many winters in southern California. She was also a wonderful mother, sister, and friend. Marj is survived by three sons. Steven (Suzette), James (Pamela), and Brian, and two daughters Lynn (Todd) Jones, and Kathleen (Curtis) Eide. Marj and Tom have 9 grandchildren Jon (Tracy) Kirby, Kelly (Travis) Behrens, Katherine Kirby, Ian Jones, Jenna (Nate) Ovenden, Kirby (Ashley) Eide, Michael Eide, Kelsey and Emma Kirby. She also has 4 great grandchildren Avianna, Wesley, Blake, and Emery. Marj is also survived by her brother Gordy, and her sisters in law Whiffer Randall and Carole Lyng. Marj was preceded by her husband Tom, and a son Paul, her parents Fred and Olga, brothers Kenny and Arlo, and sisters Doris and Florence. Funeral Mass will begin 10:30 am Friday, March 10, 2017 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Private interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation begins at 2:00 pm Thursday, with the family present from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, 507 South Main Avenue. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to SFCS - O'Gorman High School. Loving gratitude to all who helped through the last few years of Marj's life. - Miller Funeral Home
