Description	:	Marjorie L. "Marge" Eslinger, 93, Bismarck, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Sanford Health Continuing Care Center, Mandan, Jan. 18, 2014, surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck, with Monsignor Thomas Richter officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Marge was born on the homestead in Braddock on Oct. 29, 1920, the daughter of Walter and Hilda (Arntz) Bohlin. She attended school in Braddock and graduated from Beulah High School in May 1939. Marge was born on the homestead in Braddock on Oct. 29, 1920, the daughter of Walter and Hilda (Arntz) Bohlin. She attended school in Braddock and graduated from Beulah High School in May 1939. She attended Fargo Business School and graduated in May 1940. Her first job was at the Bank of North Dakota in Bismarck from 1941-44. There she met her "Sweet," William "Bill" Eslinger. They married May 11, 1946, and were the first couple married on the altar of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit. Marge shared the title of "Miss Bismarck" in 1943 for one year. Marge held several jobs, including working at the Bismarck Airport during World War II and was a receptionist for the Corps of Engineers on the Garrison Dam project from 1945-46. In future years, she enjoyed being a banquet waitress at the Holiday Inn and at Ramkota. She and Bill founded and managed B&J Standard from 1969-77. Marge was a member of Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Catholic Daughters, VFW Auxiliary and many bridge clubs. Marge is survived by her daughters, Norma Eslinger, Renee Caswell; sons George and Paul Eslinger; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marcella Loberg, Eleanor McHale and Lucille Shea, Bismarck; one brother, George Bohlin; her sisters-in-law, Betty Dendinger, Sharon Eslinger and Helen Eslinger; and many nieces and nephews. Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents, Walter and Hilda Bohlin; one grandson, Jered Eslinger; 12 brothers and sisters-in-law; and three nephews.
