Description	:	I have her linked to her parents, Paul Samuel & Ruth D (Rickabaugh) Goode. As a young child she was called Mamie, or one census has it as Mayme. It is hard to say as to where she was born. She was Baptized in Sydney, Fremont, Iowa, but no date given. In 1917 her parents were in South Dakota. Only one census in 1930 says that was state she was born in. All others say Iowa. On Aug. 24, 1940 she was united in marriage in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie, Iowa, to Paul Newton Westfall of Maryville, Nodaway, Missouri, who she met... On Aug. 24, 1940 she was united in marriage in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie, Iowa, to Paul Newton Westfall of Maryville, Nodaway, Missouri, who she met in College. He was in Pre-Med. By 1942 they had been in Pensacola, Florida where her husband went thru Navy Aviation Medical School, and on 13 May of that year were visiting his parents in Missouri, on their way to visit her parents and move to live in Iowa City, Iowa, where he'd be attached to the flight school at Iowa University. In 1951 they were in Mount Plesant, Iowa, and sometime after that they moved to Oregon. She became a widow at the young age of 45, in 1962. She remained in Oregon until her death at the age of 78 years of age. Her obituary published in The Oregonian (Portland, OR) Sunday, April 30, 1995: Marjorie Westfall A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 1, 1995, in Portland Memorial Sunset Chapel. Mrs. Westfall died April 28 at age 78. She was born Feb. 16, 1917, in Plankinton, S.D. Her maiden name was Goode. In 1940 she married Ralph N.; he died in 1962. Surviving are her sons, Gary of Hillsboro, Donald of Beaverton, Ralph L. and Bruce, both of Portland, and Gail of Beaverton; sister, Beverly Westfall Betzer of Bend; brother, Donald Goode of Council Bluffs, Iowa; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Interment in Portland Memorial Mausoleum. Remembrances: American Heart Association. Bio by W. Loy Simmons
