Description	:	Marlin LeRoy Shaw, the son of Rodber Philip and Mary Margaret (Brown) Shaw, was born on July 8, 1941 at Rockwell City, Iowa. He passed away on June 2, 2005 at his home in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 63 years, 10 months and 24 days. Butch was one of three children. Read More	Marlin LeRoy Shaw, the son of Rodber Philip and Mary Margaret (Brown) Shaw, was born on July 8, 1941 at Rockwell City, Iowa. He passed away on June 2, 2005 at his home in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 63 years, 10 months and 24 days. Butch was one of three children. He attended schools in Superior, Nelson and Wichita, Kansas. He furthered his education at Central Technical Community College, Hastings, Nebraska. Butch enlisted in the United States Army in 1963. He was stationed in Germany and was discharged in 1965. He was united in marriage to Avis Carol Harkins on August 14, 1966 at the United Methodist Church, Superior, Nebraska. This union was blessed with two children. Butch was a farmer and through the years he was employed at the Ruskin Service Station, B & S Tire Market, the Superior Auction House, Napa Auto Parts and Sales and the Superior Implement, he was also the elevator manager at Abdal. Butch was a member of the United Methodist Church, Elks club, Superior Lodge #121, AF/AM, and the American Legion club. He loved his family, friends and his farming, his love for horses and especially spring time with the new baby animals. He also liked Harley motorcycles. Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include his wife, Avis of Superior; daughter, Stephanie Shaw of South Lyon, Michigan; and son, Timothy Shaw and wife Elizabeth of Omaha, Nebraska; one granddaughter, Miya Arie Shaw; one brother, Cecil Shaw and wife June of Blue Hill, Nebraska; and one sister, Marillea Hamel and husband Keith of Boulder City, Nevada; nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held on Monday, June 6, 2005 at 10:00 AM from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Dorthea Fairbanks officiating. Violin music was "Swing Lo" and "I'll Fly Away", with Pat McCord as violinist and ""He"" sung by Gene Bruening with Carlita Erickson as organist. Pallbearers were Richard Bagley, Lawrence Williams, Larry Mikkelsen, Dennis Shroyer, Ron Hofts and Gale Mikkelsen. Honorary Pallbearers were Bill Erickson, Andy Montgomery, Delmar Shrontz and Ronald Higer. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska with Full Military Rites. Memorials may be given in care of the family which will be directed to the Brodstone Memorial Dialysis Fund or the United Methodist Church.
