Description	:	Marna Eleanor Höglund was born on 9 Jul 1911 to Carl 'Otto' and Ellen Theresa Peterson Höglund in Phelps Co. NE. She had a younger sister Myra Leone (b 11 Sep 1915 - d 2 Dec 1927). Myra and Marna were seriously injuried in a car accident. Myra died and Marna survived with a punctured lung. That injury cause Marna problems throughout her life. Marna attended Business School in Denver CO for 1 year. Marna married Quinton Broberg on 12 February 1936 in Kearney, Buffalo Co. NE. During the early thirties Marna and Quinton save their money and when they won a drawing they decided they had enough to get married. Marna had played piano at the silent pictures and Quinton had worked various jobs including working on the crew that dug the Tri-County Irrigation Canal. To the union three children were born Deanna, Delbert and Bruce. Marna worked helping Quinton with his farming and made her children her priority. When Quinton retired from farming, Marna went to work as a seamstress in Holdrege. Quinton and Marna were honoring being selected as the Swedish King and Queen in Holdrege and rode in many parades representing Holdrege in 1976. Marna passed away following surgery at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE on 24 Aug 1985.
