Description	:	Quinton was born to John Godtfred 'J.G.' and Hilma Peterson Broberg on 10 Mar 1911 in Phelps Co, NE. He was one of ten children, nine who lived to adulthood. This close famiy consisted on Lawrence, Betty, LeNore, Welton, Ruth, Doris, Dean and Beverly. Quinton married Marna Hoglund on 12 Febraury 1936 in Kearney, Buffalo Co, NE. During the early thirties they work and save their money. Marna played piano at the silent movies and Quinton travel on treshing crews through Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska. He was one of ten children, nine who lived to adulthood. This close famiy consisted on Lawrence, Betty, LeNore, Welton, Ruth, Doris, Dean and Beverly. Quinton married Marna Hoglund on 12 Febraury 1936 in Kearney, Buffalo Co, NE. During the early thirties they work and save their money. Marna played piano at the silent movies and Quinton travel on treshing crews through Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska. He went to the Nebraska panhandle and dug potatoes and worked on the crew that dug the Tri-County Irrigation Canal. When they won a drawing, they decided they had enough money to get married. To this union three children were born: Deanna, Delbert and Bruce. Quinton farmed in the Loomis Nebraska community. He was active in community groups and served on the Methodist Church Board, the Co-op Board, the Industry Township Board, the Sandstrom Cemetery Board and the Loomis School Board. In 1968 they decided to retire from farming and moved to Holdrege, NE. He was elected Phelps County Assessor and served until he had open heart surgery. Quinton and Marna were honored to be selected as the Phelps County Swedish King and Queen in 1976. They represented the county in many parades in this bicentenial year. Quinton had a second heart surgery and passed away on 22 Feb 1990.
