Description	:	Martha Ann Parker Elmore, affectionately known as "Mimi", died on July 3, 2013 as the result of diabetic complications. Born in Enid, Oklahoma on October 6, 1943, she was the wife of Donald S. Elmore and the daughter of Mrs. Polly Hughes Parker Blanton and the late Wilkes T. Parker. Using her many creative talents, Martha was the founder and owner of a successful online business, "Mimi's Kids", which specializes in hand-made children's clothing. Born in Enid, Oklahoma on October 6, 1943, she was the wife of Donald S. Elmore and the daughter of Mrs. Polly Hughes Parker Blanton and the late Wilkes T. Parker. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School and attended Limestone College. Mrs. Elmore was a member of First Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, also surviving is a son, Donald T. Elmore and wife, Ginny and a daughter, Peyton Elmore, all of Gaffney; her sisters, Virginia (Gigi) Hamrick (Carlisle) of Gaffney and Mary Ella Clark (Wayne) of Charlotte and Beverly Blanton of Anderson. Mimi is also survived by her three grandchildren, Donnie, Abbey and Harris, who will miss her greatly and loved her dearly. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at First Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM at the church with Rev. Joel Sellers and Dr. M.B. Morrow Jr. officiating. A private family interment will be held at Oakland Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC, 29615 or American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA, 22312.
