Description	:	Martha Christina Ransdell was born in Franklin, Indiana February 21 1859 and died in Meadow Grove, Nebraska, July 30, 1930, age 71 years, 5 months and 10 days. She was the youngest and last living member of a family of 13 children. When 7 years old she moved with her mother to Vinton, Iowa, then at the age of 20 years came to Madison County, Nebraska to teach school. On February 21, 1881 she was united in marriage to Wilson Cloyd. The resided on farms in Madison County until 1916, when they moved to Meadow Grove. ... Read More	Martha Christina Ransdell was born in Franklin, Indiana February 21 1859 and died in Meadow Grove, Nebraska, July 30, 1930, age 71 years, 5 months and 10 days. She was the youngest and last living member of a family of 13 children. When 7 years old she moved with her mother to Vinton, Iowa, then at the age of 20 years came to Madison County, Nebraska to teach school. On February 21, 1881 she was united in marriage to Wilson Cloyd. The resided on farms in Madison County until 1916, when they moved to Meadow Grove. In early womanhood she became a member of the Babtist Church. She was the mother of seven children. Two sons, Robert and Clellan, with her husband have preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn their loss, 5 children all of whom live in Meadow Grove, Nebraska. Mrs. Audrey Higbee, Mrs Martha Buffington, Cora, Irvin and Donald Cloyd; ten grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held at 2:00 on Saturday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Meadow Grove. Rev. Antrim of Plainview officiated. Burial was made in the Best Cemetery near Norfolk, Nebraska, beside her husband and oldest son. The out-of-town relatives attended the funeral: Mr & Mrs W.R. Reed and son Frank of Norfolk; Mr & Mrs Harrison Reed and son of Madison; and Mrs George Gaskill of Fremont.
