Description	:	The death of Mrs. Martha Feuring occurred at her home here Tuesday morning at 1:30 after an illness of several months. Her age was 75 years, 5 months and 23 days. Martha Ellen Averill was born in Tennessee, Illinois, August 12, 1849, and she lived with her parents until her marriage to Fred C. Feuring, February 1, 1871. Mr. and Mrs. Feuring moved to Joliet, Illinois, in 1886 and lived there two years, then moved to Nebraska, where they lived there seven years. In 1895 they moved to a farm... Read More	The death of Mrs. Martha Feuring occurred at her home here Tuesday morning at 1:30 after an illness of several months. Her age was 75 years, 5 months and 23 days. Martha Ellen Averill was born in Tennessee, Illinois, August 12, 1849, and she lived with her parents until her marriage to Fred C. Feuring, February 1, 1871. Mr. and Mrs. Feuring moved to Joliet, Illinois, in 1886 and lived there two years, then moved to Nebraska, where they lived there seven years. In 1895 they moved to a farm south of Fontanelle and enjoyed many happy years, then came to Fontanelle, where Mr. Feuring died November 2, 1917. Seven children came into the Feuring home, four of whom are living. One died at birth, Emeline passed away when only a year old and Sarah Jane departed this life at the age of three. Those who remain to mourn the death of a loving mother are: Mrs. Minnie G. McCormack, Kalispell, Montana; Mrs. Ethel M. Rice, Fontanelle; Chas. R. Feuring, Nevinville; and Mrs. Edna Sayles, Norfolk, Nebraska. She also leaves two sister, Mrs. Lora Stucker and Mrs. E.E. Ewing of Fontanelle, and two brothers, Frank Averill, Fontanelle, and Ira W. Averill of Mystic. Besides these many distant relatives and friends mourn her passing. Mrs. Feuring was a member of the Methodist church in her old home at Tennessee, Illinois, having joined that church when a young woman. The funeral service was held at the Methodist church Thursday afternoon and was conducted by the Rev. J.J. Allwell assisted by Rev. J. Owen Smith of Nevinville, and Rev. E.A. Moore of Clarinda, district superintendent. The body was laid to rest in the Fontanelle cemetery.
