OBITUARY: The Cumberland Evening Times (Cumberland, Maryland), March 24, 1953 -Page 14 Oakland - Mrs. Martha Ellen Kemp, 28, a native of Garrett County, who died Friday while enroute to Lutheran Hospital, Baltimore, was buried this afternoon in Oakland Cemetery. Services at the Bolden Funeral Home were in charge of Rev. Luther Hare. Mrs. Kemp was born January 17, 1925, a daughter of Mrs., Mary L. Worton, and the late Gilderoy A. Worton. A graduate of Oakland High School, class of 1943, she held membership in the Lutheran Church. She moved to Baltimore in 1943. Surviving, besides her mother, are a son, William Arnold Kemp; two brothers, Joseph W. Worton, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Arnold W. Kemp, Baltimore; two sisters, Mrs. Alice M. Jessie and Mrs. Ada Lee Hutchinson, Baltimore. (Transcribed by Ronn E. Friend, nephew. NOTE: In the obituary, Martha's maiden name was misspelled as Worton rather than Whorton.
