Survivors include daughters Kathleen Curtis of Helena, Arlene Stevens of Whitefish and Tina Tigert of Las Vegas; a son, Gary W. Stevens of Loma; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters Karen Reid of Fort Benton and Shirley Knight-Malkuch of Fairbanks, Alaska; and her loving companion and dance partner, Vern Fauth of Ulm and Great Falls. Martha was born July 10, 1925, in Great Falls, the daughter of Luther and Edith Fultz. She attended Enterprise Grade School and graduated from Fort Benton High School in 1944. She married George A. Stevens, who was a farmer in the Loma community, and they had four children. After their divorce, Martha moved to Great Falls, where she joined several fraternal organizations, including the Eagles, the Elks, the Moose Lodge and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She also became an avid square dancer. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with friends and family, playing pinochle and going to church. As a devoted mother and friend, Martha worked hard all of her life and did volunteer work in her later years. She made friends wherever she went, and had a smile and twinkle in her eye for everyone she met. She had the uncanny ability to put anyone at ease. Her loving presence and sunny disposition will be forever missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Edith Fultz; sisters Mildred McKeever-Connor, Hazel Fultz, Betty Fultz and Kay Fultz; brothers Basil Fultz and Harvey Fultz; grandchildren Chad and Tyler Curtis; a stepdaughter, Margaret Blair; and stepgrandchildren Brandon Settles, and Jeff and Greg Meek. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery in rural Geraldine.
