Martha was born on August 15, 1926 in Hicksville, the daughter of the late Ralph and Berniece (Swan) Beerbower. She was a 1944 graduate of Hicksville High School and an Ohio State University graduate. Martha was born on August 15, 1926 in Hicksville, the daughter of the late Ralph and Berniece (Swan) Beerbower. She was a 1944 graduate of Hicksville High School and an Ohio State University graduate. On November 30, 1947 Martha was united in marriage to Galen Green and he preceded her in death on June 1, 2009. Martha was a lifelong member of the First Church of Christ in Hicksville. She was treasurer for the Hicksville Exempted Village Schools for 20 years. She served on the Hicksville Board of Education, Johnson Memorial Library Board and was a volunteer for the Community Memorial Hospital, American Red Cross and the United Way. Martha is survived by a son, Jeffrey (Kathy) Green of Hicksville; grandchildren, Michael (Colleen) Green of Wauseon, Ohio, Lisa (Bradley) Lawson of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; great grandchildren, Mikaylah, George and Katherine Green and Navy Ray Lawson. She was preceded in death by two sons, David and Eric Green, a brother, Robert Beerbower and a sister, JoAnn Beerbower Martin Funeral services for Martha will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Smith & Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Jerold Tear officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 to 7:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville.
