Martha was born in Earleigh Heights, MD, daughter of the late Jacob Gellert and Tillie Meyn Gellert of Millersville, MD. He husband, William, of 58 years, preceded her in death in 2004. She is survived by her two sons John Timothy Matlack and his wife Diana and Dale Hunter Matlack and his wife Donna. Read More	Martha (Gellert) Matlack Martha Gellert Matlack Of Felton, DE, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at her home in Felton. She was 86. Martha was born in Earleigh Heights, MD, daughter of the late Jacob Gellert and Tillie Meyn Gellert of Millersville, MD. He husband, William, of 58 years, preceded her in death in 2004. She is survived by her two sons John Timothy Matlack and his wife Diana and Dale Hunter Matlack and his wife Donna. She was blessed with two grandchildren, Melissa Matlack Pingue and her husband Robert, and Ross Witton Matlack and wife Stacy. The special joys were her two great-grandchildren, Libby and Hunter Seaman. She is also survived by her brother, Allen Donald Gellert and the family of her deceased brother, Henry Jacob Gellert of Severna Park, MD. Martha graduated from Glen Burnie High School in Maryland during the Second World War. She was a homemaker and also had a career as an executive secretary at Westinghouse Electric Company. She and her husband lived in Anne Arundel county Maryland until they moved to Felton in 1990. She owned and operated an antique shop and loved going to estate sales and flea markets to furnish her shop with lots of farm related and primitive antiques. Martha was an active member of the Christ Lutheran Church, In Elvaton, Maryland for over 60 years where she was baptized, confirmed and married. Services will be on Saturday, January 14, at 11 am in the Chapel of Berry Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton, where friends may call on Friday evening January 13, from 7 to 9 pm. Interment will be Mt. Olive Cemetery in Sandtown. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Manship Chapel, 4912 Burnite Mill Road, Felton, DE 19943 or Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
