Martha Hermina Meyer Scholz was born in Sarpy County, Nebraska, October 14, 1893 and died at the Antelope Memorial Hospital May 17 at the age of 68 years, 7 months and 3 days. She grew to womanhood in Papillion, Nebr. In 1912, she was married to A. J. Scholz and in 1919 they came to Neligh, where she has resided since. Mr. Scholz died 10 years ago this summer. In her youth Mrs. Scholz was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. About 20 years ago she united with the Congregational Church of Neligh, where she was a faithful member and active in the work of the church including the Dorcas Circle. She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Hope Sikorski of Clearwater, Fla. and Mrs. Faith Gaskill of Neligh and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother.
