Description	:	Martha J. Clark was born in Covington , Kentucky, Mar. 6, 1835; died Dec. 5,1913; aged 78 yrs, 8 mos. and 29 days. She moved with her parents to Clairmont ,0hio, and from there to Fulton Co., Ill. There she united in marriage with Andrew M. Lambert in the year 1855. To this union were born nine children; four, with her companion preceding her to the Spirit world a number of years ago. Her companion only a few months previous. The children living are: Florence McClain of near Centerville, Esta Brooks of Blue Mound, Kans , Charles of near Mound City, Kans., and William of near Centerville, Kans. She also leaves eight grand children and four great grand children, two brothers and two sister. John Clark of near Centerville, Benjamin Clark of Esmore, Kans., Sarah Wilson of Bolkon, Mo., and Rachel Mahoney of Kiowa, Kans. Beside many distant relatives and friends, who will miss grandma, as she was usually called. She with her husband and children moved to this state in pioneer days, therefore suffered many of the trials and hardships of a new country. She lived for a number of years near Prescott, moving to near Centerville about twenty years ago, where she has since lived. She has been a constant sufferer of complication of diseases for thirty years, but was comfined to her bed for five weeks prior to her death. In early life she became a member of the Christian church and for fourteen years has identified herself with-the Church of God. She bore her suffering patiently and without complaint; being satisfied to answer the summons whenever the Lord might call her home, because this, to her, the change called "death", meant merely entrance into a better life. Funeral at the Oak wood church, after which all that was' mortal of this loved one was laid to rest in the Oak-wood cemetery, there to await the summons that shall bid the sleeping nations rise.
