Description	:	Our grandmother was a school teacher, when she meet her future husband Joseph Parks Hadfield. The school house was probably 1 large room with a basement, as was the school us grandkids went to during years 1945 till closed and we took school bus to town. All classes kindergarten to 8th grade were taught in 1 room, so we could listen to the other older kids read, add, etc. Can you imagine one teacher had to be able to teach all those grades? She even flew on a plane from Calif., to Iowa in the fifty's.
