She married William Henry Grubb 8 May 1870 in Richwood, Union County, Ohio and they had 7 children together. Eureka Herald 15 May 1938 Mrs. W.H. Grubb, a resident of Greenwood County since 1885, and a woman whose life of devotion and service has won her the love and esteem of all who knew her, passed away Thursday May 14 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Otto Donaldson, in Eureka, at the age of 85. Martha L. Green was born in Pharisburg, Ohio July 30, 1852. She was the daughter of Amos and Sarah Green. She was united in marriage to William H. Grubb on May 8, 1870. To this union were born seven children. Mr. Grubb passed away almost thirty years ago, and the eldest son, Millard, almost eight years ago. Those living are Harry, Ben, Roy and Mrs. Lea Grubb (Note added: Cora Mae Glendening) and Mrs. Otto Donaldson (Note added: Maude Bell Grubb Donaldson) of Greenwood county and Mrs. Mary Dodd (Note added: Mary Annamay Grubb Dodd) of Rosemead, California. Mrs. Grubb also is survived by 31 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Newlove of Ashland, Kentucky, and Mrs. Lillie Wheeler if Richwood, Ohio. She with her husband and five children moved from Ohio to Utopia, Kansas in 1885 where she lived until she moved to Eureka in 1929. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church for many years and did her full duty as a Christian, ready and willing at all times to serve her master and aid her fellowmen. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. L.C. Lapier, was held from the Baird Funeral home in Eureka Monday, May 16. Interment was in Greenwood cemetery.
