Shelburne Falls, Feb. 6 - Mrs Marietta Morton Cranson, 98, the oldest resident of the town of Buckland, died last night at the home of her son, Julius Cranson, after a short illness. Mrs Cranson was born November 12, 1834, at South Deerfield, but for the past 57 years has lived in Buckland. Since the death of her husband, Milford Cranson, who was a Civil war veteran, she had made her home with her son. She had been confined to a wheelchair for many years, but spent a great deal of time reading and took keen interest in the topics of the day. She leaves her son and three grandchildren.
