Description	:	OBITUARY: Martha Stevens, 84, Halliday, died Tuesday, March 16, 1993 at the Richardton Hospital. Funeral services were held Friday, March 19, 1993 at 2 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Halliday with the Rev. Paul D. Fiske officiating. Special music was provided by Susie Weisz, soloist, and Becky Thompson as organist. Interment was in the Halliday Cemetery. Martha Stevens was born November 7, 1908 in Angus, Iowa to Val and Nora (DeMoss) Stevens. She moved to North Dakota with her family in 1914 to a farm north of Halliday. She attended Werner country school and Halliday Public School. In 1975, she moved to her niece's (Vera Dahlen) and great-nephew (Martin Dahlen) farm. She has been in a swing bed in Richardton Hospital for the past two months. She enjoyed cats and watching television. She is survived by two brothers, Pete Stevens of Halliday and Jim Stevens of Belfield; one sister, Bessie Jackson of Bismarck; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. She was prceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister.
