Description	:	OBITUARY: Norman "Pete" Stevens, 92, of Killdeer passed away Thursday, September 16, 2004 at Hill Top Home of Comfort in Killdeer, ND. Pete was born on April 18, 1912, at Angus, Iowa, the son of Val and Nora (DeMoss) Stevens. In 1914, he moved with his family to a farm north of Halliday. He attended school at Werner Country School and Halliday School. Peter later began to farm and ranch with his older brother, North of Halliday. Pete was born on April 18, 1912, at Angus, Iowa, the son of Val and Nora (DeMoss) Stevens. In 1914, he moved with his family to a farm north of Halliday. He attended school at Werner Country School and Halliday School. Peter later began to farm and ranch with his older brother, North of Halliday. Pete was an avid horseman and was very good with cattle, riding in many cattle round-ups. He later moved into Halliday where he resided until November of 2000, when he entered Hill Top Home of Comfort, where he resided until his death. Pete loved to dance and play cards. He is remembered by many for his great sense of humor, and twinkle in his eye. He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and six brothers.
